Student Resources and Services
Student Life maintains a variety of assistive and developmental resources and services, all of which
can be found on the Student Life Resources website: www.sl.densem.edu.
Communications and Marketing to Students
Student Life functions as the primary voice to the student body for communicating information about
events, activities, resources, and benefits. Students are encouraged to check their Denver Seminary
email account regularly, as it is the official medium by which the Seminary communicates. (Students
are responsible for information delivered to their seminary email, and the IT Helpdesk should be
contacted if complications arise.)
Common Ground: The Chapel Gatherings of Denver Seminary
Common Ground chapel gatherings focus on worship and also include lectures and special
conferences that feature local, national and international speakers. During these community
gatherings faculty, staff, students and guests converge to demonstrate the importance of unity by
worshiping, learning and praying together. More information about Common Ground, including
current and archived schedules, can be found on the Common Ground Chapel webpage.
Attendance Requirements
Each student pursuing a degree at the Denver Seminary Washington, D.C. Extension site has a chapel
requirement as a condition for their graduation. To meet this requirement, students need to attend
ten chapels per semester for three semesters.
To fulfill the requirement and participate in chapel, students at the D.C. Extension may watch and/or
listen to the appropriate number of chapel services via Moodle.
Reporting Attendance
Reporting occurs on Moodle.
