Denver Seminary Welcomes New Administration and Faculty Dr. Lynn H. Cohick PROVOST/DEAN Dr. Cohick is an accomplished and widely respected New Testament teacher, scholar, and author. She served at Wheaton College from 2000 to 2018 as professor of New Testament and interim dean of humanities and theological studies. Regarding the hire of Dr. Cohick, Dr. Reggie Moore, assistant professor of counseling, said, "Dr. Cohick's ability to think and lead systemically, situationally, and relationally represent unique giftings for her time at Denver Seminary. Truly for her life, and for the life of Denver Seminary, this is a 'for such a time as this' moment." In addition to her experience at Wheaton College, Dr. Cohick taught at Messiah College and brings international experience and cultural awareness to the new role of provost/dean, having lived in Kenya while serving at the Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology. She received a PhD in New Testament and Christian Origins from the University of Pennsylvania. Dusty Di Santo VICE PRESIDENT OF STUDENT LIFE AND ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT Dusty Di Santo served at Wheaton College from 2012 to 2018 as the director of graduate admissions. He has over 12 years of enrollment and student life experience and a passion for serving students and staff in higher education. "We are pleased to bring Dusty's experience to Denver Seminary," said President Mark Young. "I believe his expertise and enthusiasm for student recruitment, theological education, and building relationships is a great fit for the mission of Denver Seminary." Mr. Di Santo also serves as president of the NACCAP board of directors, which leads professional development and support for enrollment professionals throughout Christian higher education. He received a BA and an MBA from Taylor University. Dr. Adam Wilson ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF COUNSELING In 2017 Denver Seminary welcomed Dr. Adam Wilson as a full-time faculty member in the counseling department. Dr. Wilson holds a BA in psychology from the University of Northern Colorado, an MA in counseling from Denver Seminary, and a PhD in counselor education and supervision from Regent University. Dr. Wilson has served in multiple mental health settings helping children, and he practiced at Southwest Counseling Associates in Littleton, Colorado, where he was the director and supervisor of child and family services. Denver Seminary Celebrates First Graduates from West Texas Extension Campus and ThM Degree Program On May 5, 2018, Denver Seminary's West Texas Extension Campus held its first graduation ceremony for its inaugural class at Hillside Christian Church in Amarillo, Texas. Mary Margaret Girty and Kristie Gay Tooley both graduated with master of arts degrees in counseling ministries. Ginger Nelson, the mayor of Amarillo, delivered the commencement address. Congratulations to Mary and Kristie! Denver Seminary held its primary commencement service on May 12, 2018 at Southeast Christian Church. This marked the first graduating class of students from Denver Seminary's Master of Theology Program. The class of 2018 included over 185 students who graduated from accredited Denver Seminary programs. ENGAGE 5
