Dr. Felix Gilbert began his ministry journey serving a local church
in Sierra Vista, Arizona, while also working as an electrical
engineer for IBM. The combination of his desire to attend seminary
and a job transfer to Colorado landed him at Denver Seminary. At
the Seminary, Dr. Gilbert completed a master of divinity degree
and a doctorate in ministry degree. He joined the faculty of Denver
Seminary in 2013 as director of the Urban Initiatives and assistant
professor of pastoral ministries. While at Denver Seminary, he
has been instrumental in bridging the gap between Denver's
urban community and the Seminary by implementing a yearlong
lay ministry program, which created a pathway for residents of
urban Denver to attend the Seminary. Dr. Gilbert serves as the
senior pastor of Restoration Christian Fellowship, a church he and
his wife planted. He is also the founder of Restoration Christian
Ministries, a community development corporation that serves the
Aurora community, and Restoration Christian Academy, a Christian
school that provides an alternative to secular education in the
Aurora community.
