Denver Seminary Welcomes New Faculty Members Debra Anderson, MA MENTORING DIRECTOR Debra Anderson was promoted to the Seminary faculty in spring of 2018 as a mentoring director. She has been a pastor's wife, church planter, conference speaker, Bible teacher, and theological researcher. She has also written numerous articles and has worked on ghostwriting projects for popular Christian authors. A former home-educating mother of three sons, she previously served the training and mentoring department as a formation group mentor and grader. Debra received a BA in creative writing from California State University, Long Beach (1994) and an MA in Christian education from Gateway Seminary (2001). Dan Steiner, ThM MENTORING DIRECTOR Dan Steiner joined the training and mentoring team as a mentoring director in 2016. In the spring of 2018, he was promoted to faculty status. He spent 13 years working in churches in Oregon and Colorado and has leadership experience in youth ministry, small group ministry, preaching, teaching, mentoring, and leadership development. Dan received a BA in youth ministry from Western Baptist College (now Corban University) and an MDiv and ThM from Denver Seminary. Growth in DC Denver Seminary's Washington DC campus welcomed its largest incoming class during the spring 2019 semester. This campus brings seminary education to working adults in the Washington DC area. Through flexible online and on- campus blended delivery of full programs, students can stay in their jobs while earning a master of arts in leadership (50 hours), master of divinity (78 hours), or graduate certificate in biblical and theological studies (24 hours). ENGAGE 5 Faculty Publication Craig Blomberg, PhD DISTINGUISHED PROFESSOR OF NEW TESTAMENT A New Testament Theology Dr. Craig L. Blomberg has crowned his distinguished career by writing A New Testament Theology. This book presents the task as twofold: chronological and synthetic. Actors, authors, and books of the New Testament are reconstructed in chronological order, highlighting both the dominant and distinctive contributions of each. The overarching theme is the fulfillment of Old Testament promises in the ministry of Jesus and the early church. Blomberg demonstrates the Bible's remarkable cohesion and foundational importance for the contemporary church.
