53 Master of Arts (Biblical and Theological Studies) Program Goal The Master of Arts program with a major in biblical and theological studies provides students with a foundational seminary degree with an emphasis in Biblical studies, both Old Testament and New Testament, and theology. By virtue of its relatively short duration (39 credit hours) and its online delivery, this major provides a wonderful opportunity for people in various forms of marketplace work, people entering into a second career in local church or parachurch ministry, or people who are already in ministry roles but seek a solid theological and biblical foundation. It is not a substitute for the full MA in Old Testament or New Testament, nor is it designed to provide adequate preparation for any kind of a ThM, DMin or PhD degree. Curriculum Course # Sem. Hrs.
