Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act,
Denver Seminary collects and reports crime statistics. The Clery Act requires all public and private post-
secondary educational institutions participating in federal student aid programs to publish an annual report
that contains three years of campus crime statistics, security policy statements which assure basic victim's
rights, and directions on where students should go to report crimes.
Campus Emergency and Weather Closure Notification System
Denver Seminary utilizes the following means of communication in the event of an emergency or a school
closure.
1. A notice on the Seminary's main webpage: www.denverseminary.edu
2. Broadcast emails and text messages: notices will be emailed and/or texted to all staff and faculty
to their Seminary accounts and to students via their DMail account through the Rave Emergency
System. Students can manage their Rave account at Rave Emergency System.
3. Television: CBS4, ABC7, NBC9, and FOX31
4. Radio: 850 KOA
Usage and Operations
Bicycle Registration
All bicycles ridden to campus or stored on-campus must be registered with the receptionist at the Graber
building information desk, who will issue a free registration sticker to be attached to the bicycle. All
questions about bicycle registration should be directed to the information desk receptionist.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found is located at the Circulation Desk in the Library (303-762-6962). Items will be held for two
weeks, and containers holding food or beverages will be discarded.
Pets
Unless granted special accommodation, or in cases of assistance or service animals, pets are not allowed
inside campus buildings. Dogs are allowed on campus but should be leashed at all times per local animal
codes/ordinances. Dog owner is responsible for the immediate pick up and proper disposal of the animal's
waste.
Public Space Usage
Common areas on-campus, such as the Student Center, are not available for reservation. In order to meet
the needs of the community, students using these areas should apply thoughtfulness and courtesy. This
includes leaving these locations in as good or better condition than before they were used, returning
furniture to its original location, discarding trash, reporting any problems or concerns to the Director of
Auxiliary Services, and keeping group noise at a reasonable level.
