In 2005, when Aaron Johnson moved to Colorado to pursue a degree in Christian Formation at Denver Seminary, he faced a difficult choice. Leaving Ohio meant leaving his students and his role as their teacher at Troy Christian High School. Yet it was this very experience teaching that had showed him the need and kindled his desire for more theological training. "I wanted to be a learner, but I didn't want to lose my students." He didn't have to. During his last year teaching, the high school asked him to develop and teach online courses. In 2008, Aaron joined the Denver Seminary Educational Technology Department to assist the Seminary faculty who were developing and teaching online courses. He joined the faculty as Associate Dean of Educational Technology in 2017, shortly after the Seminary launched its first fully-online degrees. "The Denver Seminary experience has formed me, and I want our online students to have that same transforming experience. Like me, many students face the choice of leaving their ministry to get more training. I'm overjoyed to be a part of making it possible for them to do both." SNAPSHOT Aaron Johnson SERVE
