41 Students in need of a course extension should submit their request using the Request for Extension of Course Work form available within 'Academic Forms' on the MyDenSem student portal page. The student should direct the form to the professor of the class for first approval and then, as needed, submit the form to the Dean of Students for second and final approval. The student should be prepared to submit any medical documentation (if applicable) along with the request form to the Dean of Students. Once a decision is made, the student will be notified via email by the Registrar's Office. NOTE: Extension requests cannot be granted for a project, thesis, or summative paper and are not available to graduating students unless the graduation date is postponed. Students who have a cumulative grade point average below the required 2.00* for two consecutive semesters are continued on academic probation for a second semester. If students admitted on academic probation earn a grade point average below 2.00* in their first semester of studies, they are continued on academic probation for a second semester.
