To date the initiative has: • Hired a full team with one research assistant and two student assistants. • Received letters of support from the Colorado Department of Education and Colorado Department of Higher Education. • Met with school administrators and school districts to develop partnerships. • Established partnerships with a large Christian K-12 school and a major metro school district and are working to secure partnerships with an additional private school and another major metro area school district. • Begun plans to conduct its first focus group with a public school partner. • Applied for access to a restricted federal database on suicide to utilize in research.
