2 Department of Educational Technology Meets the Challenge to Keep Students Engaged In recent years, Denver Seminary's Department of Educational Technology (Ed Tech) has been laying the groundwork for continued innovation. During that time, Ed Tech proactively sought solutions that would enable the Seminary to engage professors in new technology, reach more students, and create business efficiencies. As Covid-19 forced swift changes in the way we held classes, and students and faculty moved to courses held solely online, this preparation paid off. Nearly all enrolled students completed their spring courses, and we saw our highest enrollment in Denver Seminary's history for summer and fall. Offering classes both on-campus and online – and as blended courses in which faculty and students engage as a group in real time, while allowing students to choose whether they attend on campus or virtually – has been a game changer for students and the Seminary. New Professional MA Degrees Combine Vocations Training with Biblical and Theological Concepts Students who desire to serve in ministry, nonprofit, business, or the public sector need the knowledge and skills to engage a diverse and ever-changing world. Our commitment to prepare students to engage the needs of the world motivated Denver Seminary to redesign our professional Master of Arts degrees to better equip leaders. Students can major in Christian formation, cultural engagement, and leadership. These degrees combine vocational training with biblical and theological concepts. Students acquire the knowledge, skills, and behaviors necessary to navigate change, power dynamics, and conflict in diverse cultural, organizational, and entrepreneurial settings. In our redesigned Professional MAs, students are able to learn from experts across multiple disciplines. A FIRM FOUNDATION FOR ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT Preparing to meet our mission to engage the needs of the world is paramount to our work. Long before we faced the challenges of 2020, Denver Seminar y was working to ensure we could meet our students' needs in the moment and in the future.
