86 Master of Theology (Old Testament) Program Description The Master of Theology (ThM) with a concentration in Old Testament is intended for students who have completed a Master of Divinity or a Master of Arts (Old Testament). This degree provides students with opportunities to focus on such topics as the history of ancient Israel, advanced exegesis of the Hebrew texts (prose and poetry), and the study of ancient Semitic languages related to the Old Testament. If a student desires to specialize in the Old Testament for teaching, ministry enrichment, or doctoral studies, the Master of Theology provides a foundation in the critical study of the Old Testament.
