Faculty Publication Introducing The Gordon Lewis Center for Christian Thought and Culture The Center is focused on serving the greater Denver community by using the disciplines of theology, philosophy, and apologetics to explore the question of what it means to be a Christian in our world. Driven by the mission of God, the Center serves as both an outreach to those who do not believe as well as to Christians in need of bolstering their faith. The Lewis Center will provide a lecture series, community courses, and other resources. For more information, visit Theology of Health in Culture—Justice and Mission Course Heather Davediuk Gingrich, PhD PROFESSOR OF COUNSELING Restoring the Shattered Self: A Christian Counselor's Guide to Complex Trauma was written as a result of Dr. Davediuk Gingrich's years of work with trauma survivors. Written from a Christian perspective, her book is a guide for counselors, pastors, and lay helpers alike who work with complex, relational trauma. 4  FALL 2013 A course in the justice and mission program curriculum has been updated to bring together practicing health care professionals with pastoral, counseling, and chaplaincy students. The course will offer a time to explore the current, and often confusing and misdirected, pursuit of health in America. It will be taught in January 2014 by Bob Cutillo, MD, an associate faculty member at Denver Seminary. Summer 2014 Israel Trip Opportunity Travel to Israel with Dr. Dave Mathewson, Dr. Bill Klein, and Dr. Hélène Dallaire to study "Historical and Geographical Settings of the Bible" at Jerusalem University College from May 18 to June 8, 2014.
