Students learn in both theory and practice how to walk with those who suffer, with those who are seeking discernment of God's will, with those whose image of God is distorted, with those who are stuck in immaturity or sin, and with those who have a desire to mature in their relationship with Jesus. Implementing soul care in a variety of ecclesial contexts is explored. Offered alternate spring semesters. Three hours. Also considered are some of the personal attributes and ministry skills that are necessary to survive and thrive over time. Three hours. LD 1202 Integrating Spiritual and Leadership Principles In this seminar students reflect on how leadership and spiritual formation go together and are, in fact, not at odds with each other. Staff leadership is explored as a solo staff, or as lead staff with full, part-time, and volunteer leaders. Skill and spiritual gift development is emphasized.
