63 Master of Arts (New Testament) Program Goal The Master of Arts program with a major in New Testament provides students with necessary competence in the Greek of the New Testament and an introduction to biblical Hebrew, hermeneutics, exegesis, history, culture, theology, critical methods, and diverse readings in order to teach, minister, and write in a variety of church, parachurch, and other educational contexts, and to equip students interested in pursuing doctoral studies.
