Jamie Doak recently received a fellowship from the National Board
of Certified Counselors for her work with minority, transition-age
youth. After teaching high school English in Mississippi and Harlem,
New York, Jamie enrolled in Denver Seminary to pursue her MA in
counseling with a concentration in clinical mental health. Next year
Jamie will serve as a counselor and teacher at Northfield High School,
a diverse, innovative school with the mission of providing high-quality
education and mental health services to all adolescents, regardless of
race or socioeconomic status.
