10 MINISTRY RESIDENCY PROGRAM Denver Seminary's Ministry Residency Program began in fall of 2013. Currently, 21 students are placed in residency positions at churches in the Denver metro area. Residency positions range from worship pastors to children and youth pastors to small group and family ministry pastors. In total, $129,909 in tuition are paid by local churches to students through this program. Along with residency placement, the Ministry Residency Program offers one-on-one financial counseling with students. The program has a goal of doubling in size for the 2015–2016 academic year. OPPORTUNITY TO DONATE TO NEW SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS! ENGAGING HOPE SCHOLARSHIP FUND In September 2014, Denver Seminary launched the Engaging Hope Scholarship Fund. The fund was created to make seminary education accessible and affordable for up to 150 students over 10 years. Each year up to five international students and five minority students will be awarded scholarships covering 100 percent of their tuition. Up to 20 additional students will receive 50-percent scholarships from this fund.* Engaging Hope is a term endowment accumulating gifts over two years (through December 2016) prior to disbursing the scholarship awards. Denver Seminary has a goal of $2 million in gifts, which will yield $2.5 million in total scholarship awards. All gifts received (with earnings) will be fully awarded over 10 years. Through June 30, 2015, $1 million dollars have been committed! Awarding this scholarship to students will minimize the burden of tuition debt for graduating students and will provide opportunities to students who would otherwise not be able to afford a seminary education in preparation for ministry. *Funds awarded are dependent on gifts received.
