14 Denver Seminary's Endowment has experienced steady growth in the past six years due to additional generous donations and healthy market returns. With a solid financial foundation, the Seminary is able to continue pursuing opportunities for growth and student accessibility. GROWTH ENDOWMENT GENEROSITY DONOR 2015 marked another year of extraordinary donor generosity. With $3.3 million in total contributions, 2015 saw the second-highest level of giving in a non-campaign academic year. (The highest was in 2014.) Nine new scholarships were developed in 2014, followed by six in 2015. These restricted funds are designed to address donors' interests in specific student programs. Term endowments, which award scholarships and provide operating funds from principal and interest over a designated period of time (usually 10 to 20 years), were particularly popular again in 2015, with gifts of nearly $1 million ($1.75 million in 2014). This type of fund allows donors wishing to support vital programs and deserving students to see the results of their generosity during their lifetimes. Denver Seminary also received nearly $300,000 in grants to support academic programs, initiatives, and scholarships. We are grateful for the support of Crowell Trust, El Pomar Foundation, Kern Foundation, Windgate Foundation, World Vision, and others.
