77 Master of Theology (Old Testament) Program Goal The master of theology (ThM) with a concentration in Old Testament is intended for students who have completed an MDiv or MA in Old Testament. This degree provides students with opportunities to focus on such topics as the history of ancient Israel, the exegesis of the Hebrew texts, and the study of ancient Semitic languages related to the Old Testament. If a student desires to specialize in the Old Testament for teaching, ministry enrichment, or doctoral studies, the ThM provides a foundation in the critical study of the Old Testament.
