158 Elisabeth Nesbit Sbanotto Dr. Elisabeth Nesbit Sbanotto joined the faculty of Denver Seminary in 2011 as assistant professor of counseling. She received a BA in interpersonal communication from the University of Northern Iowa, an MA in Counseling from Denver Seminary, and a PhD in counselor education from the University of Arkansas. Before coming to Denver Seminary, Dr. Sbanotto was an assistant professor of family and human services at John Brown University and maintained a private counseling practice in Fayetteville, Arkansas. In 2005 she served as interim consulting director, counselor, and clinical supervisor at the REALIS Christian Center in Kyiv, Ukraine. Dr. Sbanotto speaks and consults nationally for Fortune 500 businesses, nonprofits, government and military organizations, and churches on the topic of faith development, authentic living, generational differences, and cross-generational management, mentoring, and ministry. Co-written with Dr. Craig Blomberg, Dr. Sbanotto's generational expertise was put into book for and titled, Effective Generational Ministry. Additionally, a counseling skills textbook titled The Skilled Counselor, co-authored with Drs. Heather and Fred Gingrich, is set to be released later in 2016. Dr. Sbanotto is also a Licensed Professional Counselor and maintains a counseling practice in Littleton, Colorado. He was editor of Leadership Journal for 34 years, and served as a vice president at Christianity Today, oversaw Christian History, Marriage Partnership, Church Law & Tax Report, and Men of Integrity magazines and PreachingToday.com. He earned a BA in journalism from Bethel University and an MDiv from Denver Seminary. He also took coursework at Wheaton College Graduate School, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and Stanford University, and received a DD from Denver Seminary. He has authored several books, including Well Intentioned Dragons and Leadership Secrets of Billy Graham, and he was general editor of The Quest Study Bible. He has served on the boards of the Evangelical Press Association, Marble Retreat, Denver Seminary, and as board chair of the American Tract Society.
