2016-2017 Student Handbook 60 Seminary's D.Min. program under the following conditions: 1. The D.Min. Director will determine whether the course content and number of credit hours for work taken at other institutions are acceptable for transfer. Such determination is to be made in consultation between the Director and the student admittance to the program at Denver Seminary. The credit to be transferred must be for work taken at the doctoral level. 2. Transfer credit will be limited to replacing up to two seminars (six semester hours) in a student's program. Transfer credit reduces the number of electives (including individualized studies) students may take. If two seminars (six hours) are transferred, no electives may be taken. If one seminar (three hours) is transferred, one elective may be taken. Continuing Education for Denver Seminary D.Min. Graduates Graduates of the Denver Seminary D.Min. program are encouraged to continue their education by auditing doctoral seminars. They will enroll as non-transcripted auditors and must complete all pre- seminar assignments so they are prepared to interact in the seminar sessions. The fee for a non- transcripted audit is $35.00. Contact the Registrar for the application form. Current students will have preference over returning graduates for a seat in the class until the registration deadline. Textbooks Students will obtain their own textbooks. If a student has difficulty locating a book, the student should contact fellow students, the instructor, or the D.Min. office for suggestions. Graduation The candidate will submit a Graduation Application form (available online) to the Registrar's office no later than the date specified on the form. Fall graduation applications - due by October 1. Spring graduation applications - due by February 1. Summer graduation applications - due by May 1. The Registrar's office does not accept late graduation applications so complete this early. If you submit and decided not to graduate, it is not a problem. If you do not submit but want to graduate, you will be required to wait until the next session. The graduation application is available on MyDenSem under My Academics in the Forms section. The policies of the Seminary will prevail in graduation procedures. All financial obligations to the Seminary must be met prior to graduation. It is the policy of the Seminary to rent the academic regalia. Students will submit measurements to the registrar by the specified date. Doctoral hoods are rented and must be returned along with the graduation robe. Students who wish to purchase the hood should contact the Registrar's office for information.
