2016-2017 Denver Seminary West Texas Extension Student Handbook 13 Student Life The Office of Student Life The Student Life team, consisting of the Dean of Students, Student Life Coordinator, and numerous dedicated student volunteers, is committed to supporting student success by providing a variety of assistive and developmental resources and by curating environments wherein students can experience meaningful community while completing their degree program. Communications and Marketing to Students Student Life functions as the primary voice to the student body for communicating information about events, activities, resources and benefits. Students are encouraged to regularly check their Denver Seminary email account, as it is the official medium seminary administration utilizes to communicate. Students are responsible for information delivered to their seminary email, and the IT Helpdesk should be contacted if complications arise. Student Resources and Services Student Life maintains a variety of assistive and developmental resources and services to help students succeed and complete their program. Career Services and Resources For students entering their chosen field for the first time, and for those who are reentering after a career change or time off, Student Life provides assistance and resources to students desiring to better equip themselves for gaining employment. Community Life Denver Seminary recognizes the powerful role peer support and encouragement plays in the overall success of students. This value comes to life at the West Texas extension campus during the Community Life Hour, which is a time intentionally set aside for students to meet and develop meaningful relationships each other and their professors. The Community Life Hour will also feature community dinners, discussions, and on-site chapel services.
