2016-2017 Denver Seminary Washington, D.C. Extension Student Handbook 2 The Student Handbook The Student handbook is an official document that is binding for all students. The Student Handbook communicates and explains important information and policies to help a student successfully complete his/her academic work and understand the different services Denver Seminary offers while being prepared for future ministry. Degree seeking students, as well as those earning certificates and auditing classes are to comply with policies and procedures as stated in this Handbook. These policies and procedures have direct bearing on all students, and each student is responsible for familiarizing him/herself with the content and policies herein. Therefore, each student is encouraged to review and take seriously the information contained in this Student Handbook. Denver Seminary admits students of any race, gender, or national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, or national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and other school- administered programs. No student can be excused from taking a required course from a faculty member on the basis of the student's objection to the faculty member's race, gender, or national and ethnic origin. The content of this handbook should not be construed as complete. It may be modified by action of the Faculty, Administration, or the Seminary Board of Trustees at any time. Denver Seminary reserves the right to change policies when necessary. All policy changes will be communicated promptly to the student community. Students unable to access an electronic copy of the student handbook will be provided a hard copy upon request in the Office of Student Life. Washington, D.C.
