Students Begin ThM Degree to Strengthen Foundations for Influence Fall 2016 marked the launch of Denver Seminary's master of theology (ThM) degree with concentrations in Old Testament, New Testament, and theology. A couple of incoming students expressed why they are seeking further biblical and theological training. " I believe a great danger for many pastors is that, once we graduate from seminary, we tend to stop learning and get stuck in the prevailing thought of the generation in which we graduated. I see the ThM as an opportunity to refresh my mind and to grapple with current issues in biblical studies, so that I may serve my church and my students with the best preparation possible." James Manuel, MA (2012) pursuing a ThM with a concentration in New Testament " Pursuing a ThM was an easy next-step decision. My MDiv laid a solid foundation to build from, and the ThM will further equip me to think theologically about all facets of life. I want to be a theological practitioner who not only has personal convictions, but also knows how to connect the dots between real-world issues and the truth of Scripture and can equip others to do the same."
