14 Student Life GENERAL INFORMATION Consisting of the dean of students, student life coordinator, student services coordinator, and numerous dedicated volunteers, the Department of Student Life is committed to supporting student success by providing a variety of assistive and developmental resources and by curating environments wherein students can experience meaningful community while completing their degree program. Details about the resources and services provided by this office for the main campus and for the extension campuses can be found in the appropriate Denver Seminary Student Handbook. All students should familiarize themselves with the handbook associated with their respective campus location. HOUSING Off-campus Housing A variety of housing options are available near the Seminary campus. Refer to the Seminary website for information about off-campus housing. RESOURCES AND SERVICES Career Services The department of student life provides assistance and resources to students desiring to better equip themselves for gaining employment in their chosen field after graduating. Services include resume development, job search and networking guidance, interview skills and job negotiation assistance, and professional coaching as well as opportunities for assessing strengths and personality type. Professional Christian Counseling Services For students on the main campus, the department of student life has made arrangements with several local Christian counselors to provide a limited number of counseling sessions for seminary students and/or their immediate families at a discounted rate. Please contact the student life department for additional information. Students enrolled at an extension campus should contact their site director for counseling resources in their area. Employment Denver Seminary is located in the greater Denver metropolitan area where there is a stable job market and ample opportunity for employment. The seminary's job board contains a variety of part-time and full-time employment listings and can be accessed via the Denver Seminary website. Denver Seminary also participates in the Federal Work Study Program. Refer to the Financial Aid section of this catalog for further details. Employment opportunities for international students follow the United States Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS) regulations and are limited to on-campus opportunities.
