155 Dr. Welch is the author of the recent book The Controlling Husband, (Baker/Revell, 2014). He specializes in marital and family therapy, as well as individual men's issues. He is the author of several articles and book chapters, and has presented numerous papers at professional conferences. His current research and writing focuses on control and power in marital relationships, the interactions of attachment processes with friendships and marriage, and the relationship between hope and attachment to God. Dr. Wells received a DMin, ThM, and MDiv from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, the MLS from University of Pittsburgh, and a BA from Westminster College. Prior to his appointment, he worked as the theological librarian at Trinity International University where he co-directed the planning and merger of the undergraduate and divinity school libraries. He has pastored churches in Pennsylvania and Illinois. Dr. Wells has published a number of articles on theological research and edited the "Christian Classics" column in Touchstone: A Journal of Mere Christianity. He was also a contributing editor to Ninety Days with the Christian Classics. Email: keith.wells@denverseminary.edu Phone: 303-762-6963 Scott Wenig Dr. Scott Wenig joined the faculty in 1994 and serves as Professor of Applied Theology and holds the Haddon Robinson Chair of Biblical Preaching. He teaches in the areas of homiletics, church history, pastoral ministry and leadership. He earned a PhD from the University of Colorado at Boulder, an MDiv from Denver Seminary, and a BS from the University of Colorado at Denver. Dr. Wenig was on the pastoral staff of Bear Valley Church in Colorado for sixteen years; the pastoral staff of Centennial Community Church, also in Colorado, for eight years; and the senior pastor of Aspen Grove Community Church, Littleton, Colorado, for five years. He loves local church ministry as well as teaching at Denver Seminary and currently preaches in different churches on the Front Range when asked. He has contributed to The Dictionary of Christianity in America, The Leadership Handbook for Ministry, Leadership Journal, Sixteenth Century Journal, The Journal of Anglican and Episcopal History, Preaching Journal, Preaching Today, The Journal of the Evangelical Homiletical Society, The Denver Journal and is the author of Straightening the Altars, a study of the English Reformation.
