32 REFUND POLICY Refunds are given on a prorated basis and are based on the date the course is officially dropped. Note that a lack of class attendance does not affect this policy. The refund policy applies only to tuition (fees are nonrefundable) and is as follows: Fall and Spring Semesters A 100 percent refund is given the first week of the semester, a 75 percent refund the second and third weeks of the semester, and a 50 percent refund the fourth and fifth weeks of the semester. There is no refund after the fifth week. Summer* and Intersession One-Week Courses A 75 percent refund is given on the first day. There is no refund after the first day. Two-Week Courses A 100 percent refund is given on the first day, 75 percent on the second day, and 50 percent on the third day. There is no refund after the third day. Three-Week Courses A 100 percent refund is given on the first day, a 75 percent refund on the second and third day, and a 50 percent refund on the fourth and fifth day. There is no refund after the fifth day. Fourteen or Fifteen-Week Courses A 100 percent refund is given the first week of the semester, a 75 percent refund the second and third weeks of the semester, and a 50 percent refund the fourth and fifth weeks of the semester. There is no refund after the fifth week. Weekend Courses Two and Three-hour Courses A 50 percent refund is given the Monday following the first weekend the course meets. There is no refund after that Monday. *Summer classes can meet anywhere from one week up to fifteen weeks. The same refund policy is applied on a prorated basis for all summer courses.
