Annual Golf Tournament Hosted every fall, we invite members of our community to join us for a day on the course for 18 holes of golf. All proceeds go to scholarship funds to help our students fund their seminary education. Women Engage Women Engage is an initiative to engage women with one another and with God's work at the Seminary. The group gathers throughout the year on Tuesday evenings. Events typically include a speaker, refreshments, and networking. Leadership Luncheons Four times a year we gather a group of donors, alumni, and key partners together to learn from a guest speaker on the critical elements of leadership for our families, churches, and businesses. Speakers for 2016–17 included President Emeritus of Compassion International Dr. Wess Stafford, Dr. Larry Donnithorne on The West Point Way of Leadership, and national author and speaker Eric Alexander who has led disabled climbers to the highest point on six continents. Each year we host a variety of events to engage with our community leaders, alumni, donors, and friends. in an Old Testament class, Chris learned what it means to be a refugee: a remnant of people displaced and in need of help. His professor and the class would pray for the millions of refugees in the world looking for a place for family, for work, and to be accepted. This stuck with Chris and he often pondered how he could serve the refugee community and share the gospel with them. Amplio Recruiting is a result of this desire to love and serve the refugee community while pursuing his call to business. Through taking chances, failing and succeeding, and God's provision and vision, Amplio Recruiting today does $3 million in revenues. It also gives him and his staff the opportunity to share the gospel with the refugee population and the businesses they partner with. Giving Back Giving back to Denver Seminary is not something that started for Chris and Sarah after Amplio Recruiting gained success and brought in revenue. They have given to the Seminary for many years, even throughout the years of starting and closing businesses. Chris shares, "Giving is critical to who Sarah and I are as a couple. God has called us to be generous and steward our finances well." Chris gives back to his alma mater because he believes "the Seminary invested greatly in me and I could never repay the impact our experience at Denver Seminary had on our lives. Sarah and I grew up as a married couple there, we found our calling together there, and we will always be thankful." Today Chris and Sarah are establishing a scholarship for Denver Seminary students who feel called to do their ministry as business leaders.
