The Department of Student Life recognizes the role that extracurricular relationships play in the lives of students and welcomes the formation of new groups. Non-Immigrant Students Denver Seminary is privileged to host students from a variety of nations as they pursue degrees that help extend God's kingdom across the globe. The Seminary recognizes the unique challenges non-immigrant students face and seeks to provide assistance specifically tailored to help these students succeed. Cultural Engagement Initiatives Denver Seminary strives for an environment that celebrates Christian unity and values the diversity within the Body of Christ. Below are the various initiatives that reflect the Seminary's efforts toward that end. Engage 360 Podcast Engage 360 is Denver Seminary's weekly podcast where issues of cultural and theological relevance are explored through the lens of the Seminary's mission of equipping men and women to engage the needs of the world with the redemptive power of the Gospel and the life-changing truth of scripture. The Young Adult Initiative: Kaleo Project Where can the Millennial Nones be found in the Denver area? How can churches in the Denver area call out to them, inviting them into life-giving relationships? This is the focus and mission of the Kaleo Project. Vernon Grounds Institute of Public Ethics The Vernon Grounds Institute of Public Ethics provides environments and resources to educate, facilitate, and train Seminary students, members of Christian leadership, and the Christian community as a whole in the area of social ethics. Gordon Lewis Center for Christian Thought and Culture The Lewis Center is an educational resource for the greater Denver area that seeks to train and equip believers, proclaim the truth of Christianity to unbelievers, and engage culture for the redemptive cause of Christ. Ethnic Initiatives Urban Initiative Formerly known as the African American Initiative, the Urban Initiative exist to increase diversity while providing much-needed advocacy to students from urban contexts. With focus on black people of varying ethnic backgrounds, the Urban Initiative challenges leaders in Denver's urban context to grow spiritually, intellectually, and professionally in order to lead God's people in the accomplishment of His mission in the world. Hispanic Initiatives The Hispanic Initiatives serves Denver Seminary and the Hispanic community by providing access and support for individuals from Hispanic contexts to pursue theological education.
