Robert E. Woolfolk Award For an outstanding graduate who exhibits qualities of graciousness, love for the Church, commitment to bridge building, and promise of future ministry leadership in the African-American community. Pastor Bob Woolfolk served as a mentoring director for fifteen years and was the first director of the African-American Initiative. Outstanding Mentee Award For a mentee in the Training and Mentoring curriculum who has demonstrated outstanding growth in mentored, contextual learning. e recipient has completed mentored formation courses with excellence, demonstrates superior understanding of the priority of living a mentored life, personifies a core commitment to redemptive relationships, and possesses the potential to be a significant mentor to others. Highest GPA Among MDiv Students Given to the MDiv student with the highest grade point average. is student must have taken at least two-thirds of his or her degree work at Denver Seminary. Highest GPA Among MA Students Given to the MA student with the highest grade point average. is student must have taken at least two-thirds of his or her degree work at Denver Seminary. Vernon C. Grounds Outstanding Student Award Chosen by both students and faculty and awarded to a graduating student who best emulates the character and convictions of Dr. Vernon C. Grounds. Dr. Grounds faithfully served Denver Seminary from 1951 until his death in 2010 in the office of Dean, President, and Chancellor. He modeled Christ-like character, commitment to biblical truth and love, intellectual curiosity, academic excellence and strong sensitivities for the poor, the broken, and the doubting. He loved people and was passionate to see them grow in alignment with God's purposes.
