Faculty Publication Dr. Mark Young PRESIDENT OF DENVER SEMINARY One True Story, One True God: What the Bible Is All About One True Story, One True God shows how God has moved through history with redemptive, missional intent and gives readers a glimpse of how God will use them to further accomplish His plan. From Adam's creation to Jesus' return, the book shows where we've been, where we are, and where we are going. By seeing the historical context of God's redemption plan, readers will have a fresh understanding of God's big story and where they fit into it. ENGAGE 21 Dr. Reggie Moore to Chair Seminary's PhD Program Dr. Reggie Moore has been named the chair of Denver Seminary's Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Counselor Education and Supervision Program. Moore has been with the Seminary since 2007 and earned a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Northern Colorado, an MA from Colorado Christian University, and a BA from the University of Kansas. "Our aim is to develop scholars and practitioners who are well equipped to serve the diverse needs of others, the profession, and our world," said Moore. "Our emphasis on tailoring the program to the unique personhood and vision of our students will offer a transformative educational experience." Dr. Don Payne Appointed VP of Academic Affairs, Academic Dean Dr. Don Payne has been named the VP of academic affairs, academic dean. Payne has served in an interim capacity in this role since January 2021, overseeing the educational programs and faculty of Denver Seminary. He will continue as a member of the Seminary's Executive Leadership Council. "A respected and beloved professor of theology, Dr. Payne brings theological depth, leadership acumen, a passion for the formation of students, and a deep commitment to the Seminary's mission," said Denver Seminary President Mark Young. Payne has been on the faculty of Denver Seminary since 1998. Among his roles, he has served as assistant professor of Theology and Ministry, and associate professor of Theology and Christian Formation. Payne earned a PhD in systematic theology from the University of Manchester, England, an MDiv from Denver Seminary, and a BA from Tennessee Temple University. Recent Retirements Nadine Ginkel, director of library services, retired in January 2021. Dr. Bill Klein, professor of New Testament, and Dr. Monte Hasz, associate professor of counseling, are retiring in June 2021. We wish them all well in all that this next phase of life brings them and are honored to have been able to work with them over the years. They are faithful servants of Christ who served His kingdom through their commitment to our students and our mission, to engage the needs of the world with the redemptive power of the gospel and the life-changing truth of Scripture.
