2015-2016 Student Handbook 19 Paul and Marjorie Lewan Learning Resource Center and the Carey S. Thomas Library Named after the first president of the Seminary, the Carey S. Thomas library is located in the Paul and Marjorie Lewan Learning Resource Center. The library is comprised of volumes carefully selected to provide the best in theological and scholarly literature as an undergirding for the school's curriculum. Library hours: Monday – Thursday …………... 7:30am – 10:00pm Friday ……………………………….. 7:30am – 6:00pm Saturday…………………………….. 9:30am – 5:00pm Sunday ……………………………… Closed On-Campus Apartments Denver Seminary owns and operates a four-building apartment complex for both single and married students. For more information regarding on-campus and off-campus housing, please see the housing website. Parking Permits, Locations, and Violations Permits All vehicles parked on campus are required to display a Denver Seminary parking permit. New students will receive a parking permit application during new student orientation or from the receptionist at the lobby inside the Graber Administration Building. Questions about parking permits may be directed to the Information Receptionist (303-761-2482). Policies • Vehicles and motorcycles must be parked in the painted, designated spaces only. Parking along the curbs of landscaped islands or other curbed areas in the parking lots is prohibited. • Vehicles are to be parked one per parking space. Vehicles taking up more than one space are subject to ticketing. • Motor scooters may utilize normal parking spots or the area designated for scooters and motorcycles to the west of the Graber Building. • Staying/sleeping overnight in any vehicle in any Seminary parking lot is prohibited. Locations (map) • Lots A, B and D are open parking for students, faculty and staff, except spaces designated for handicap parking, Shepherd's Gate clinic parking, and the spaces for guests in Lots A and B. • Lot C may be utilized for overnight parking from 5:00pm – 7:30am, Monday – Friday and during weekends. • Lot D parking (south/southwest of the Graber Building) is limited to 24 hours. • Parking in the west section of Lot D in the numbered spaces in and around the campus apartments is reserved for campus residents. Enforcement • Parking policies are enforced with tickets of $30 or $50 by Seminary security staff.
