2015-2016 Student Handbook 62 you will be required to wait until the next session. The graduation application is available on MyDenSem under My Academics in the Forms section. The policies of the Seminary will prevail in graduation procedures. All financial obligations to the Seminary must be met prior to graduation. It is the policy of the Seminary to rent the academic regalia. Students will submit measurements to the registrar by the specified date. Doctoral hoods are rented and must be returned along with the graduation robe. Students who wish to purchase the hood should contact the Registrar's office for information. Withdrawal/Leave of Absence D.Min. students must follow the same protocol as master's level students regarding Withdrawal and Leave of Absence. Please refer to these respective sections above. NOTES: 1. A student who returns from a withdrawn status is subject to the catalog requirements in place at the time of reentry. 2. Note that a leave of absence or withdrawal does not extend the time limit a student has to complete their program. 3. A Leave of Absence is granted only under unusual circumstances. Contact the DMin. Director to discuss prior to submitting the request. Academic Failure Students must maintain a 3.0 ("B") average. A "B-" will be accepted as long as students maintain a 3.0 average. In the event students receive a grade less than the required "B-" minimum to pass any doctoral course, the following policies will prevail: 1. The student may retake the course or take an additional seminar (if the failed course is not a required course). If an additional seminar is taken, the hours of the failed seminar will not be counted toward the D.Min. degree but will be included in the student's GPA, which must be 3.0 or above to graduate. 2. The above option applies for a failing grade in only one seminar. A second failure will result in dismissal from the doctoral program. 3. In case of failure, approval of the D.Min. committee to continue in the program must be secured. Decisions of the committee are final. 4. The student must pay full tuition to retake the course. 5. The student must have a 3.0 GPA to graduate. Project Grades Students registered for the following will receive a grade of Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory: DP 1101 Project (4 hrs) DP 1102 Project Continuation (no credit) DP 1103 Project Extended Continuation (no credit)
